Believing in "The" self..

You must
believe in something.

Our generation, teaches us that we must believe in something, outside of ourselves in order to be an achieving individual. An individual that is able to understand his or her self, an individual that is accomplished and self less.Although, believing in someone higher than ourselves is great. This mindset is created to take us believe that we are “better” or will be once we complete a list of actions. I was at a oncert recently, while being there it dawned on me that our outer expression of life through our talent is happens as a benefit to ourselves. As we are doing what we naturally love to do, we bless urselves as well as those around us. We feel fulfilled to be doing what we know we have been put on earth for. As I heard the singer sing, the audience was mesmerized, members of the audience even grabbed the singer’s attention.

The singer went on to hold some audience members hands, while smiling at others. As the singer began to sing, it made me think of how wonderful of a gift the singer expressed. I thought WOW! “This singer is singing from the depth of his being.” But what does that mean “being”? We use terms that we often look past or simply don’t fully understand. The terms often sound good as they are describing something we mean but what are we really saying. This means that the vocalist sang from a place of passion and of surrender. It was clear that the vocalist was in touch with greatness.

Greatness is nothing outside of you. Greatness however resides on the inside. Greatness expressed is the God like character expressing itself through you. Benjamin Disreali said best when he said, "Man is only, truly great when he acts from his passions." Being able to express greatness through one’s passions is a wonderful gift he gives to mankind. Living our best life, begins when we acknowledge the greatness within us. Acknowledging the “presence within” is the same as acknowledging the Christ within. The presence may manifest as a gift at times but it is ultimately the Ideal Man; the Real Self. We know this to be true because the holy scriptures
tell us to worship Him and Spirit and in Truth. We can only complete these two acts by way of the world within.

The Essence of Life

Beauty cannot be described; It is an inner awakening of your truest self. Once you get a hold of it you can only bestow it upon others. Clinging on to an inner awakening and blessing others is the beautiful intention of life.

As human beings we desire to make this planet a better place whether through our own existence or by physically doing something to put change into place. We can only do this through a sound mind. A mind that even at its molecular level speaks of peace. Scripture states that God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.2 Timothy 1:7

This peace we speak of may give the illusion of impossibility for some especially when life gets to be overwhelming. However when life seems to be overwhelming we must take a moment to stop and enjoy the roses. As you stand in front of the rose and contemplate it you will develop a sense of appreciation for the beauty of it and find like you, the rose had to go through a renewal process as it once was a seed as we once were in the womb of our mother.

In life we all have a journey we need to go through. For each person it is a different journey. The elements that arise within the soul is the beauty of the journey. When this happens we participate in the experience of the journey and enjoy it fully. As you smell the rose, the rose itself fulfills its purpose as it reminds you of yours.

To truly live is the only way to live. Living a meaningful life means, much like the rose, you fulfill your purpose. Ask yourself what is your purpose? After doing so acknowledge that your life up until now has been about this very moment. Feel the love of God expressed through this moment.

With love,

Finding purpose

Finding purpose in all that you do. As woman there is so much that we have on our plates. The entire day can go by and your still moving with no break for yourself. Whether it is with children or with work, there is always a reason to why we are such busy bodies. As woman were always moving and never really have time for ourselves.
It is time to stop feeling guilty about not being able to complete the things that we were meaning to. Believe it or not the time we spend at the end of the other day, thinking about the things we didn’t get done is time that we can be spending meditating and praying.

I recently found in my own life that although I’m currently unemployed the day would fly by and as it did I still did not find the time to work on my personal mission. It’s interesting how time itself can take you for a loop. Since I made notice and stopped blaming myself for my lack of focus and commitment. Blaming yourself for something in the past only brings about more challenge, not change. Blaming yourself does not promote productivity but the lack there of.

As women there are so many responsibilities that we keep placing on ourselves, that keep us from giving time to our personal walk with truth. We place responsibilities on ourselves and we do not ask for help out fear that if we do we will be seen as a woman that can’t handle her business. There are many people around us that would love to lend a hand. How many times have complained whether aloud or in our mind about our significant other not helping?

But in reality we never even asked for help. It is amusing the pressure we place on ourselves when we assume. Assumption is an enemy of the mind. Ultimately, the people in our lives are there to help us along our path of truth and asking for help can help contribute to their walk as well. Your asking for help can serve as a gift toward someone else’s soul. It therefore okay to ask for help.

Finding purpose in all that you do is what is important. If we choose to find purpose in the small things in life such as care taking or cleaning, everything we do essentially becomes an act of worship. The meaning to life does not come when it is forced but through the energy of ease. What we do with ease creates a field for every day improvement. Socrates said it best when he said "Beware of the barrenness of a busy life." Living with purpose is living triumphantly. We must live triumphantly in our everyday moments; it is in this triumph we live on purpose.

In Him we live,
